MASCC (Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer) is an international, multidisciplinary organization dedicated to research and education in supportive care for people with cancer. Founded in 1990, MASCC brings together oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal supportive care practices that improve the quality of life for cancer patients.
The organization focuses on the management of side effects of cancer and its treatment, including pain, fatigue, nausea, mucositis, and psychological distress. MASCC also encourages collaboration across disciplines and countries, and hosts an annual conference that serves as a key platform for the exchange of knowledge and clinical advancements.
Its mission is to promote supportive care through research, professional education, and the development of evidence-based guidelines to ensure patients receive the best possible care during and after cancer treatment.
