She’s running the world in pink - the story of Pink Lety
Lety, a breast cancer survivor, turns her family’s round-the-world trip into a powerful act of advocacy. She invites MASCC to run in pink to raise awareness about screening and prevention. Along the way, she collects moving interviews that she shares on Instagram.

In July 2024, Lety sets off to explore the world with Olivier, her husband, and their three children. The project is amazing but they want it to have meaning. So, they commit to supporting two associations :
- The first helps sick and disabled children learn and discover the world through weekly travel journals they create : L'enfant@l'hôpital
- The second is more personal to Lety, connected to her own battle with cancer : MASCC
In 2021, Lety was diagnosed with breast cancer. The shock was overwhelming. She went through intense chemotherapy and underwent about ten surgeries. To cope, she turned to sports: first yoga, to soothe her body and mind, then walking, and eventually running. In October 2023, she took part in her first 5 km race, a symbolic and intimate victory after months of struggle.
Lety searched for an association that aligned with her values. That’s when she met Florian Scotté, president of MASCC. They immediately connected: sport, pushing one's limits, resilience, and hope, everything that helped Lety recover. Together, they came up with a project to raise awareness about cancer screening and promote physical activity as both mental and physical support during treatment.
A few days later, Lety and her family set off on a 13-month journey around the world, with pink T-shirts tucked into their suitcases. And so, Lety and Olivier embarked on this human and solidarity-driven adventure with one mission: to encourage cancer screening and show that even after illness, life goes on, beautiful and full of momentum.
Their first runs took place in Miami, under the blazing sun. The pink T-shirts didn’t go unnoticed! Then they ran together in Colombia, Ecuador, The Galápagos, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Easter Island, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Indonesia, The Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Oman...

Sometimes, running was difficult due to local conditions: roads without sidewalks, lack of infrastructure, stray dogs… But no matter! The family adapted their mission by conducting interviews and exchanging stories with the people they met along the way. These moments of sharing were just as meaningful. Many had been affected by cancer, directly or indirectly. Each time, the same powerful link emerged: sport, resilience, and that positive energy that connects people across borders.
Nydia's message from Colombia
The adventure continues. More countries await, more stories to hear, and more footsteps to leave on paths around the world, always in pink.
